Initially, the first snow and that touch of cold signals the start of the holiday season, which I love. Once Christmas and New Year’s Day are past, I’m good with the cold snaps staying away. Nothing says Iowa like walking your dog on a windy day in January when it’s 20 below zero outside.

WHAT AM I READING NOW? | MOTEVENTURE
Many years ago, I picked up a book called “Relic”, a story about mysterious murders in a museum in NYC and a pale, enigmatic FBI agent named Aloysius Pendergast. This 2023 novel is the 21st entry in the Pendergast series and is fortunately still unraveling and answering questions about the Preston & Child characters I’ve grown to love. Plus, a subplot returns to the museum from that first novel!
