INSPIRED BY INSTAGRAM

The final episode of “Midnight Mass” is on my tv as I type this. For a Netflix show I expected to be suspenseful yet also mainstream (my better half tends to not be a fan of anything that couldn’t happen in real life), we experienced a rollercoaster ride of vampires mixed with Catholicism. Yet like a car crash, I think we found it hard to look away (thankfully the writing and acting was top notch).

I tend to seek out interesting stories and information for Moteventure’s “Today’s 10” feature while watching tv the night before I publish the next day’s post (thank you WordPress for the schedule feature!), saving them to my reading list as I go.

This evening as the Netflix show devolved into what felt like a zombie-infested scene from “The Walking Dead”, I perused Instagram and had a moment of inspiration. Use random Instagram posts as the subject of a blog entry here. Provide my thoughts and commentary on what’s happening from a social media perspective. So, here goes…but first, be sure to subscribe and follow!

THE WORKPLACE

So, not sure this truly applies to my workplace, but it seems like it’s very applicable to many in general. Take a look and let us know which person you are in your daily work life!

THE NOSTALGIA

Oh, the wonders of Tang if you were a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. You could slug down a breakfast drink just like NASA astronaut John Glenn (his Mercury & Gemini missions were legendary)! For you Gen-Xers and Millennials, the closest taste comparison would be Sunny-D. In June of 2011, Kraft Foods advised that Tang had become its twelfth billion-dollar brand.

THE ACHING BACK

My personal chiropractic office posts quite often on Instagram. Today’s post involves “creating a life you can’t wait to wake up to…” and encourages changing your mindset and dedicating your time to becoming a healthier you. To me, that seems like a very moteventurous goal!

THE TV

With the success of “Yellowstone”, “Mayor of Kingstown”, and “1883”, who knew creator Taylor Sheridan had new shows (“1932”, “Bass Reeves”, “The Tulsa King”, “Land Man”, and “Lioness”) already in the works? Big shows…big stars!

THE GYM

Who doesn’t appreciate and need a good, suggested workout now and again for those moments when you either don’t have a ton of time to workout or you don’t have time to look for a good one? That’s where your gym (my gym in this case) comes in with suggested quick options like this 15-minute Stairmaster workout. Let us know in the comments how it worked for you and/or if you have a suggested workout to pass along yourself to our Moteventurous followers here!

THE SPIRIT

Tobymac is an artist where the hip-hop and Christian music genres converge into something funky, catchy, and also spiritually uplifting. From his early days with DC Talk to his most recent single, “Promised Land” (with Sheryl Crow), the music and the message of Tobymac is timely and truly soulful.

THE POLITICS

Although we tend to avoid discussions on the site involving politics, this came up today and it truly makes you think about things being done in our country and the reason(s) for those decisions, limits, and the obvious exceptions for some events and groups of people.

THE MONEY

Things are running so hot with the US economy in the age of a 40-year inflation high. Warren Buffett makes things so clear and simple for those who need to know where we stand.

That’s it! Let us know what you think of our Instagram-inspired post today in the comment section or via the floating FEEDBACK button on the right.
