Welcome to Day Two of my highlighting uncommon Christmas songs that perhaps you’ve never heard, but are repeatedly on my Christmas playlist every year. Honestly, how many times am I expected to listen to “All I Want for Christmas is You”?

“Christmastime” is the title track from Michael W. Smith’s 1998 album, which was his second holiday-themed recording (after 1989’s “Christmas”). It’s a lush piano and orchestra driven track and utilizes a chorus of voices to fill out the mix.
Smith is an acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician who has achieved 28 number 1 songs, and earned 3 Grammys, as well as more than 40 Dove awards.
If you’d like to listen to the playlist as it’s created this month, search for “An Uncommon Christmas – 2020” on Spotify (I’ll add a direct link once more tracks are revealed).
Other Moteventurous Christmas Songs from this artist:
- CHRISTMAS ANGELS
- WELCOME TO OUR WORLD
- CHRISTMAS DAY (with Mandisa)
- ALL IS WELL (with Carrie Underwood)
- ALMOST THERE (with Amy Grant)
As always, if there is a holiday song you want me to hear and/or highlight here, add it in the comments below. Enjoy your day!
