I’ve always had an affinity for photography, whether I’m the one behind the lens or simply offering my own opinion on good composition. During college, I taught photography to raise additional funds for my tuition and found it interesting often being the youngest one in the class!
When perusing photographs whether in a folder or on a camera, I see certain shots that I immediately deem as “iconic”, not in the sense that they are ready for print in National Geographic or should be displayed in a museum. But rather, images that are immediately pleasing to the eye and capture the feeling in a moment.
Which leads me to our feature article today. After more than 3,300 images were submitted, One Eyeland Photography Awards selected its winners, including professionals and amateurs from 56 different countries. These photographs are truly iconic. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
