Collectively, Paul Anka and Olivia Newton-John have a chart history exceeding 120 years, selling in excess of 110 million records during their respective careers.
Hit singles like “Diana”, “Hopelessly Devoted to You”, “Lonely Boy”, “Physical”, “Puppy Love”, “Twist of Fate”, “Times of Your Life”, “Magic”, and more fueled their popularity through the past 5 decades.
Now, for the first time, they’ve recorded a new version of Paul’s #2 smash “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” (originally released in 1959. The artists and the song are a class act all the way.
Rumor has it that Olivia is looking through her back catalogue to compile and release a duets album which will include this new track as well as “Window in the Wall”, her recent duet with daughter Chloe Lattanzi.
Anka has been nominated numerous times for Juno awards in his native Canada, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1980.
Newton-John is a four-time Grammy award winner who has charted 5 number-one singles, and is one of the best-selling artists of all time. Her most recent release is “Liv On” (2016). She was named Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in 2019.
