Intro: A Year in Nine Chapters
January started with a quiet question: what rhythm do you want to live by this year? By September, we were talking true crime at the Iowa State Fair and what to binge as fall creeps in. In between — love stories, tipping debates, dog-genius rankings, and a whole lot of music history.
I went back through every monthly Top 10 report from January to August, plus what’s live on the homepage right now, and pulled one defining post from each month. Not just the most-clicked — the one that captured what that month felt like here on Moteventure.

Why I selected it: January was intentional by design. I launched the four-part series New Year, New Rhythm — Reset: The Art of Beginning Again, Relentless Forward Motion, Becoming, and Rewriting Your Story for 2026. It wasn’t about resolutions. It was about tuning your heart, habits, and hopes.
It also marked the debut of my single “Avalanche” in 6 different genres on January 9th — “the sound that breaks the silence.” That first tremor set the tone for everything that followed creatively. If you missed January, this is where 2026 started.
FEBRUARY — Love Stories That Shaped the World

Why I selected it: February was my Valentine’s series — 14 stories of devotion and endurance. This one later went on to become #1 in June, which tells you everything. Two world-class athletes who met at a charity event in 1998, built a marriage away from the stadium lights, and chose presence over perfection. Readers didn’t just read it — they shared it with their partners. It’s more than sports. It’s a portrait of partnership.
MARCH — The Month Everyone Had an Opinion

Why I selected it: March was when the comments section came alive. Your report said it best: “this guide to tipping in 2026 became one of the most shared posts of the month. Everyone had an opinion, and everyone wanted to know what everyone else thought.” Paired with the Gladiator Arena post — “ten topics guaranteed to turn any comment section into a coliseum” — March proved Moteventure is at its best when it holds up a mirror to everyday life.
APRIL — The ’90s Won’t Let Go

Why I selected it: April’s #1: “Your #1 post of April — and honestly, it wasn’t even close. The ’90s continue to dominate the nostalgia charts.” CDs, TRL, powerhouse vocals. This post is a time machine and it keeps pulling new readers because it lets people argue lovingly about who should have ranked higher. Runner-up that month — 10 Things We All Pretend to Understand (But Don’t) — showed the humor was back too.
MAY — The Reigning Champion
Featured: Top 10 Best-Selling Recording Artists of the 2020s (So Far)

Why I selected it: This is the post that refuses to leave. #1 in April, #1 in May, #2 in June. Your report: “Your reigning champion. Month after month, this post refuses to budge from the top spot.” The 2020s are still unfolding, so this list feels alive — readers keep coming back to see where Taylor, Morgan Wallen, Drake, and the rest land. I paired it this month with breakout hit Ten Social Norms That Make No Sense because May was both data + delightful social commentary.
JUNE — Love, Jewels, and Mysteries

AUGUST — True Crime at the Fair

Why I selected it: August’s #1 was your biggest breakout of the summer. “This investigative retelling… captivated readers with its detail, pacing, and emotional depth. It became the breakout hit of the Iowa State Fair series.” Right behind it: 10 Grand Canyon Deaths That Are as Fascinating as They Are Heartbreaking and Kick the Can to TikTok: Childhood Freedom in the ’70s vs. Today. Nostalgia + mystery = August in Iowa.
SEPTEMBER (So Far) — The Fall Setup
Featured: What to Watch in September 2026 + September Lawn & Garden Guide
Why I selected it: September is live right now on your homepage. The watch guide is your streaming bible — The Gentlemen S2 on Netflix, Slow Horses S4 on Apple TV+, Mandalorian and Grogu on Disney+, Chad Powers S2 on Hulu — and the Lawn Guide is perfectly timed: “September is the great exhale… everything you do this month pays off big in October.” I’m including it so this digest points forward, not just back.
