Every once in a while, a project shows up that wasn’t on the schedule, wasn’t part of the plan, and wasn’t meant to be anything more than a creative detour. Ignite the Fire – Afterglow is exactly that — and tomorrow it becomes real.
Earlier this year, after locking in the final track list for Vertigo — the album built around Avalanche, Obsession, and Euphoria — I suddenly had a rare stretch of open space. No deadlines. No production crunch. Just a quiet pocket of time between eras.
Instead of stepping away, I started wondering what the Ignite the Fire songs would feel like if everything was stripped back. No big production. No heavy layers. Just the stories, the melodies, and the pulse underneath. That curiosity turned into a full acoustic reimagining of the album.

Afterglow is the softer side of Ignite the Fire — warm, vulnerable, and intimate. It’s the same songs, but seen through a quieter lens. Earlier this spring, the unplugged duet version of The Eleventh Hour became the emotional anchor for the whole project, showing me there was something worth exploring in this stripped‑down world.
With Vertigo on the horizon, Afterglow feels like a moment of stillness between chapters — a chance to revisit where I’ve been before stepping fully into what’s next.
