Today feels different.
“Euphoria,” the third single from my upcoming album Vertigo, is officially out everywhere people stream music — and this one carries a story that’s a little newer, a little closer, a little more this century than the roots of “Avalanche” and “Obsession.”
Those two songs were born from ideas I first sketched out back in the eighties. “Euphoria” wasn’t. I wrote its first lyrics over Christmas break in 2025 — quiet mornings, late‑night scribbles, and that winter feeling where memories and momentum collide.
From there, I spent months shaping the studio versions until each one felt right: the pop cut, the country take, and the remixed, amped‑up version that pushes the pulse a little harder.
Because it’s part of the Vertigo universe, I pulled the name of the dance club straight into the song — even though the album has its own title track. It just fit. The world of the album needed that neon corner, that place where everything tilts.
Sonically, this single sits next to my 2025 track “Call To Me (Flashing Lights),” which was my love letter to Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder.
But “Euphoria” leans into a different era — the emotional grit of the 1990s. Think Alanis Morissette’s raw honesty (minus the fury) and the atmospheric intensity of Evanescence. I hope listeners feel those threads woven into the mix.
With “Avalanche,” “Obsession,” and now “Euphoria,” I’ve unintentionally created a trilogy — three songs about the rush, the gravity, and the allure of falling for the one for the first time. Each track captures a different angle of that moment when everything changes.
Today isn’t about promotion (too much anyway). It’s about the strange joy of watching a song finally step out into the world.
