What’s your favorite time of day?
Oftentimes I find daily prompts difficult to answer with just one specific response. Today’s prompt is no different. I tend to gravitate to two specific times in the day that I enjoy most.
EARLY MORNING

My sense of ease and personal contentment is often tied to the east-facing deck of my home. There is nothing in this world that fills me with calmer feelings than witnessing the sunrise from that vantage point, especially as I prepare myself to delve into my work. The seamless transition from the tranquil dawn to the productivity of my workday is a blessing that comes naturally with the privilege of working from home. My sidekick Scamp at my side along with my better half as we share cups of coffee and conversation, the colors intensifying in the sky just before the sun illuminates the world…it’s simply bliss.
Early morning is the time when my creativity is truly ignited, my mind sharp, and my spirit at its most tranquil state. As I slowly awaken, before fully surfacing to reality, my most extraordinary ideas come to me. While some may seem far-fetched in the light of day, I am more often than not flooded with (what I hope are) exceptional ideas for work, home, and my personal life. This special time of the day is my sanctuary of inspiration and innovation.
LATE EVENING

A number of years ago, we were in our local furniture store, searching for a bed that would be more than just comfortable. We ended up finding a Berkshire Hathaway European Pillow Top mattress that (pardon the cliche) is literally like sleeping on a cloud.
If we’re travelling, the thought of dropping into our own bed at night is what leaves us longing for home, even while on an exceptional vacation.
After a productive day of work or a weekend spent landscaping in the yard, nothing beats the quiet and contemplative time before dropping off to sleep for the night.
Both of us being avid readers, we almost always spend some time reading a good novel or scanning the news online (as bad as they say that is for you). Just being able to unwind together and close out our day together in comfort and in great company is another blessing I don’t take lightly.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN

Time, in the apt words of The Alan Parsons Project, keeps flowing like a river until it’s gone, nver to return. What is your favorite time of day and why do you cherish it? Share with my readers your thoughts and experience of how a particular time of day enriches your life.
