Last year, I introduced a feature to the blog known as “Moteventure Reactions”. In this segment, I shared my reactions to songs suggested by followers that I had never encountered during my formative years. In those early days of discovering my passion for 45’s, I found myself drawn to Casey Kasem’s “American Top 40” for musical inspiration. There was no one quite like Casey to provide the inside scoop on those songs.

Moteventure Reactions – Another Listen

Early in 2024, I made the decision to broaden the feature, showcasing songs I have cherished for many years from artists I had discovered on AT40 back in the day. Although a relatively new area for me so far, I am committed to constantly sharing some of my all-time favorite tracks with you, my readers. In this iteration, we delve into the works of iconic artists such as Pat Benatar, Queen, Olivia Newton-John, Styx, Donna Summer and more.

Boomer Ears, New Beats

With no intention to pigeonhole any generation into a preconceived box of stereotypes, I am confident that the impact of social media, especially TikTok and Instagram Reels, has led younger generations to expect shorter and more concise video content. This insight has inspired me to explore the realm of YouTube Shorts, where I plan to share my reactions to present-day hits.

Although I am continuously honing my ability to convey compelling thoughts within a 60-second timeframe, it has been an invigorating experience to explore new music from today’s leading artists. I’ve enjoyed immersing myself in the creations of Morgan Wallen, Billie Eilish, Shaboozey, Tommy Richman, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, and Kendrick Lamar, among others.
