What podcasts are you listening to?

Before we get started, I’d like to thank all Veterans for their service. It is your love of duty and honor that makes our country great!
Oftentimes in conversations, if the subject comes up, I talk about my utter distain for audiobooks. Although I’m a voracious reader, I’ve tried listening to audiobooks before without much success.
Several years ago, I had to have eye surgery to repair my retina after trimming trees in my backyard and getting some sawdust or wood chips in one of my eyes. Here’s a helpful hint for that situation: always wear safety glasses!
Anyway, during surgery, they inject a tiny bubble of gas into the eye that floats to hold the retina in place after the procedure is done. The hard part of that is that the patient then has to be facedown for about 45 minutes of every hour to keep the bubble and the retina in place at the back of the eye. Try sleeping on your stomach every night for 2 weeks!
During that time, I reverted to lying facedown on the floor with AirPods in my ears listening to audiobooks and podcasts. I’d tried listening to audiobooks before, but found I’d listen for a minute and not know what was just said, having to rewind and listen again (and again).
On the other hand, I don’t have a problem listening to podcasts for some reason. Perhaps it’s the subject matter or the length of a podcast that makes comprehension easier.
Regardless, that brings me to the subject of today’s post. What podcasts filled my hours during those dark days? Here are ten of my favorites.
