In a perfect world (with the perfect body), I’d say “I’m a fitness influencer and do tons of my favorite exercises, bro. You know? Burpees, tons of pull-ups, oh, and I run a marathon every weekend!”
But, back here in reality, my imperfect body enjoys something a bit more my speed. With my Fitbit securely fastened on my wrist (because if it’s not, did I even exercise at all?), I venture out with leash in hand and my constant companion, Scamp, by my side.

While I enjoy a good hard session at the local gym, pushing my limits and feeling the adrenaline surge through my body, there’s something that rings true on so many levels about walking each day. The simplicity of putting one foot in front of the other allows me to connect with my surroundings, breathe in the fresh air, and clear my mind. Walking provides a unique blend of physical and mental benefits that often go unnoticed amid the clamor of intense workouts. It’s a gentle reminder that fitness doesn’t always have to be high-impact to be effective; sometimes, the quiet moments spent strolling through a park or along a quiet street can be just as invigorating and refreshing for the soul.
