As I finalize the concluding details of the upcoming installment of my novel “Relentless,” I aim to respond to today’s prompt with brevity and precision. It is an aspect in which I consistently fall short, regardless of the numerous efforts I make to curb my tendency to act contrary to my intentions.
My dad delivered the best piece of advice I’ve ever received, and it has stayed with me for years.
“LISTEN MORE THAN YOU SPEAK. YOU HAVE TWO EARS AND ONE MOUTH FOR A REASON”

Such a crucial skill to master yet challenging to employ when engaged in listening to others, whether during personal discussions at family gatherings or professional meetings on platforms like Teams. Frequently, I find myself preoccupied with formulating my next response based on a fragment of the dialogue, resulting in my inability to grasp significant portions of what is being conveyed at times.
Nevertheless, I continue to work on that small piece of advice I got decades ago!
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN
Share with my readers the best piece of advice you’ve been given, and how that advice impacted your life. Be blessed!
