OUR TOP 10 POSTS FROM MAY ’24

Let’s kick off our countdown with some intriguing tidbits from thefactsite.com about the amazing month of May:

No U.S. President has ever died in the month of May. In every other month, at least one President has died.

On May 6, 1937, the Hindenburg disaster took place when the German airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock in Lakehurst, New Jersey.

In May of 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay, a Sherpa of Nepal, became the first climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

The Empire State Building opened its doors on May 1, 1931. At the point of its construction, it held the record for being the tallest building in the world. Many other sky-high constructions have since dwarfed it, but it’s still an awe-inspiring feature of the New York cityscape!

The birthstone for May is the emerald. Emeralds are a type of stone called beryl and typically range from a deep-sea green to a lighter color. Emeralds are symbols of fertility and rebirth.

In May of 1536, Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII of England’s second wife, was beheaded in the Tower of London.

MAY REFLECTION

May has proven to be a dynamic and engaging month for the blog, offering a wide range of topics to captivate readers. The month kicked off with a first time reaction to Deep Purple’s “Highway Star”, a rock classic from the early seventies. Subsequently, the focus shifted to exploring conspiracies and hidden agendas with “Unveiling the Veiled”.

Personal stories last month included a wedding proposal, a journey through personal loss and growth, and a brand new installment of my ongoing novel “Relentless”.

Delving further into the month, the blog ranked our all-time favorite novelty songs, and took a nostagic trip in time to life before the internet, as well as considering ways to handle negative thoughts in everyday life.

Finally, towards the end of the month, we introduced a new feature to “Moteventure Reactions” where as a late-age baby boomer, I listen and react to songs from today in the form of “Boomer Ears, New Beats”.
