My instincts would be to eagerly share the uplifting news with my close friends and family - depending on the nature of the news, of course.
Good news is rare these days, and every glittering ounce of it should be cherished and hoarded and worshipped and fondled like a priceless diamond.

In the event of a lottery win, it’s commonly advised to keep the news private until a clear plan is in place.
That would be my initial reaction. Once the initial excitement settles, I would recognize the importance of expressing gratitude for the unexpected gift and acknowledging the role of those involved, as well as giving thanks to a higher power.
