Let’s get our countdown off with a few interesting facts about the month of March:
Did you know that Chicago’s nickname “The Windy City” originated in March back in the late 1880’s?
The Salem Witch Trials began in March of 1692. Just goes to show you, we shouldn’t give in to mass hysteria or believe everything we are told or read.
March Madness brackets first appeared in 1939 thanks to a teacher in Iowa.
As for important events occurring in March, on March 1, 1870, the Supreme Court convened for the very first time; On March 12, 1938, Nazis invaded Austria and absorbed the country into Hitler’s Reich; and finally, on March 27, 1977, the worst accident in aviation history occurred when two Boeing 747s collided on the ground in the Canary Islands, killing 570.

MARCH REFLECTION
It’s fascinating to observe each post I pour over and publish, and the interplay each has with readers and how some get a handful of views while others hit almost viral status. My personal reflections seem to bolster my numbers, as do the song-titles I use as post titles. Whether I ruminate on my victories (and failings) as a parent, or simply convey my favorite cartoons as a kid, I appreciate the time you take to read and be a part of my moteventurous world!
