THEN LISTEN TO OUR 60’S VALENTINE’S PLAYLIST
“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.”
Aretha Franklin
One of the most rewarding aspects of writing and maintaining a blog is the ability to gather and share my thoughts, interests and feedback on an immeasurable number of subjects, and hear back from my readers on what they love as well.
One such subject that I tend to focus often on is music. Whether I reference a song in my blog title for the day, include a YouTube video that seems appropriate to the moment, or rank my favorite 10 songs from iconic artists, music is a universal love that transcends borders, age, gender and language.
Several years ago, I put together playlists of love songs to celebrate Valentine’s Day, organized by decade. Originally, I went back to the 1970s and forward to today.
In preparation for the holiday this year, I’ve created a new playlist to share with you featuring classic love songs from the 1960s, including iconic songs like The Beatles’ “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe”, Percy Sledges “When a Man Loves a Woman” and more than 20 additional romantic hits from the decade of love. It’s the perfect way to set your night to music!

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN
So, now that you’ve seen the classic love songs that come to my mind, what tracks am I missing? Do you and your love have “your song”? Hit me up in the comments and I’ll get them added!
