Firsts on the site are always nerve-wracking, and Moteventure Reactions is no different than the other features we’ve added over the three years we’ve been blogging. Those of you who know me well know that I’m a big music fan, and so perhaps you’d expect a “first reaction to a song I’ve never heard” to be difficult to nail down. Surprisingly the choice was an easy one.
Most reaction videos on YouTube tend to be old hits that most people know already. With our channel, I decided to pinpoint songs from artists we all know, but to listen to the tracks I missed or were out of my beloved “pop music” genre I’d enjoyed for most of my life.
Our first reaction today is to a song from the 1967 debut album from The Doors, which also features the mega-hit “Light My Fire”. I had never heard of “Soul Kitchen” until I did some research to find that elusive first song. Jim Morrison’s distinctive vocals float and growl well over the retro but catchy ’60’s rock beat and the song is instantly memorable.

Certainly, there are a number of decadent European chocolate bars, but for the purpose of today’s prompt, I’m simply going to narrow it down to two: Snickers or Hershey’s (with Almonds).
