In 2004’s film “Christmas with the Kranks”, Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis decide to forgo celebrating Christmas at home for a year and choose instead a sun-drenched tropical cruise in the Carribean. With their daughter away in Peru, the perennial neighborhood Christmas superfans meet with disastrous results when their whole street revolts against their humbug plans and their daughter comes home early. As you’d expect, the ending comes together like a Hallmark card.
