AN UNCOMMON CHRISTMAS, VOLUME 2: AN ADVENT PLAYLIST

Two years ago in December, I lamented on how the local radio stations seem to only know (or play) a handful of songs of the season…over and over and over again. I’m currently working on an upcoming post focusing on the ten most overplayed and/or overrated Christmas songs by radio.

In December 2020, I put together a playlist featuring 25 Christmas songs that I love but are seldom (if ever) played on the radio. Included on the playlist were lesser-known songs by some of those artists who have been and continue to be overplayed day after day.

Earlier this month, I began to highlight each day a new group of songs for this Christmas season, highlighting them via a YouTube video link near the bottom of each day’s post.

With this weekend upon us, I thought I’d collect them all in one post – this one. Check back for the ongoing video list. We’ll be updating the playlist on Spotify as the month progresses. Happy Holidays!
